| | The
CloneSafe authentication product
line is the most advanced cloning fraud prevention system for ANSI-41 based networks
TDMA (D-AMPS), CDMA, and AMPS (analog). The ANSI-41 authentication system,
when implemented in a wireless network, provides a highly secure means of preventing
cloning fraud without any subscriber interaction.
Authentication is transparent
to the user and prevents fraud before it occurs, allowing service providers to
determine the legitimacy of a subscriber prior to a call. Phones determined to
be clones can be instantly denied access to service.
Synacom
is committed to eliminating cloning fraud and has designed a comprehensive product
line that ensures wireless network security.
| | |
| The
CloneSafe product
family includes: |
Fast
and error free mobile phone programming. |
|
Secure Authentication
Center (SAC) to provide the ANSI-41 authentication
function
Secure A-Key
Management System(SAMS) to generate, store,
manage, and distribute A-Keys and other NAM parameters
Validator
Mobile Phone Programming Device to securely program
A-Key and service activation (NAM) parameters into mobile
phones
|
In
1999, Synacom broadened the programming capabilities of
the SAMS and the
Validator to provide
automated service activation in addition to the products
original function of A-Key management and programming.
The SAMS and the
Validator program
all number assignment module (NAM) parameters for TDMA,
CDMA and AMPS mobile phones.
Mobile phone vendors now have the option to automate the
entire mobile phone activation process. |

With the RoamFree®
Gateway, Synacom eliminates the problems presented by incompatible
network standards. RoamFree provides seamless interoperability
between GSM and ANSI-41 networks (TDMA, CDMA, AMPS) allowing
wireless carriers a cost-effective method to expand coverage
to regions that were formerly off-limits.
With a single subscription, roaming subscribers can register
and receive calls in both GSM and ANSI-41 networks using a dual-mode
mobile phone. RoamFree®
provides protocol translation to offer full mobility between
the networks. RoamFree also allows satellite operators using
GSM to provide access for ANSI-41 based subscribers. Features
offered to roaming subscribers include registration, call delivery,
call forwarding, multi-party calling, call waiting, and call
barring. RoamFree® supports open industry standard interfaces,
allowing connectivity to other wireless network elements.
| | |
| RoamFree®
supports full interoperation of the following features: |
RoamFree®
can be deployed in a GSM network, ANSI-41 network, or
by an SS7 backbone signaling networkp rovider as a value-added
service.
When
subscribers roam, fraud control is of ultimate importance.
RoamFree, when used in conjuction with Synacoms
CloneSafe Secure Authentication Center (SAC),
ensures that roaming subscribers are protected from cloning
fraud no matter where they travel.
RoamFree® product also incorporates a GSM Authentication
Center application (GSM AuC) to provide fraud protection
in GSM systems.
