Synacom Announces A New RoamFree® Gateway II Product
Line for ANSI-41/GSM Roaming in Small Markets

San Jose, California - Synacom Technology, Inc. announced
today that it will offer a RoamFree® Gateway II product
line available in the third quarter of 2002. This new RFGII
product is targeted for small GSM or TDMA carriers in the
Americas (North America and Latin America regions) who may
be interested in providing cross technology roaming with a
GAIT phone. The RFGII consists of three products: RFG10 for
GSM to ANSI-41 Roaming, RFG20 for ANSI-41 to GSM roaming and
RFG30 for bi-directional roaming.
The RoamFree Gateway is designed to enable seamless
roaming between GSM networks and ANSI-41 networks. Since 1997,
Synacom's RoamFree Gateways have been installed in many
major carriers in the Americas and Asia. The RFG product supports
uni-directional as well as bi-directional roaming between
GSM and ANSI-41 (CDMA or TDMA) Networks.
The new RFG product is designed to meet the technical and
business needs of small carriers in the Americas who may need
to provide roaming services between GSM and TDMA networks
with a GAIT phone. Orders for RFGII can be placed immediately.
