Synacom Technology Achieves ISO 9001 Certification

San Jose, CA, US - Synacom Technology Inc., a developer of high-technology
software products for use in wireless communications, today announced
it has achieved certification to the International quality Standard
- ISO 9001.
The certification was granted by Det Norske Veritas, a recognized
leader in ISO 9000 registration.
"We are pleased that DNV has found Synacom's quality system
acceptable to meet their stringent requirements for ISO 9001 certification,"
said Ming Lee, president and CEO of Synacom.
Synacom has been working toward achieving ISO 9001 certification
for nearly a year. The certification is an important step in the
company's continuing efforts to focus on the development of high-quality,
leading-edge products for the wireless telecommunications industry.
"Our primary objectives are to develop products with the quality
built in at every level and to speed them to market, thereby providing
innovative, reliable and powerful new technology for our customers,"
Lee added. "ISO 9001 provides Synacom with yet another tool
to meet these objectives."
Founded in 1989, San Jose-based Synacom Technology Inc. has a proven
record in developing and deploying state-of-the-art fraud prevention,
roaming and mobile phone activation products. Synacom currently
is developing a component that will bridge the gap between mobile
cellular handsets and the Internet core network. This Mobility Access
Gateway (MAG) will be ready for field trials in 4th Quarter 2000
and commercial products in 2001.
